BETTER HEART translated the latest research on firefighter cardiovascular health — medical literature, firefighter-specific studies, and national data from occupational medical exams — into enhanced, evidence-based guidelines for detecting cardiovascular disease (CVD) in firefighters. The goal: close the gap between generic cardiac screening standards and the occupational realities of the job.
