Support Science to the Station
Fund the science.
Research only protects firefighters and EMS personnel when it reaches them. Your support pays for the work in between: translating studies, building free tools and connecting the people doing the science with the people living it.
Why it matters
01 · The gap
Good science gets stuck
New research on cancer, heart health, sleep and behavioral health is published every year. Most of it stays in academic journals that firefighters and EMS personnel never see.
02 · The fix
We close the gap
We translate studies into plain language, build free resources, and bring responders and researchers together so the science gets used and the next study asks better questions.
03 · Your role
Support keeps it free
Our resources are free to the people who need them. Support from people and organizations who care about responder health is what keeps it that way.
What your support makes possible
- Research, translatedBreaking Science summaries, SCANs and infographics that turn studies, new and old, into something a crew can use.
- Free toolsThe Resource Library, the Re-Search tool and guides for departments, open to anyone at no cost.
- A national networkWorkgroups and alliances that connect firefighters, EMS personnel, researchers and clinicians.
- Science in the inboxA newsletter that reaches more than 4,000 subscribers with the latest research.

Conference sponsorship >Science comes first
Our credibility with the fire service depends on the science being independent. We thank and recognize the people and organizations who support us, and we keep that support separate from what the research says.
Gifts are made to Science Alliance Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit registered in Kansas, and designated for Science to the Station. Donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law.
- Funders never review, edit or approve research findings or our translations of them.
- Support does not buy endorsement of a product, service or position.
- Sponsor recognition is always labeled as recognition, kept apart from the science.
